Emergency Flood Relief

September 24th brought the worst flooding in 30 years to Chiang Mai. Many of the Gateway / Belle Goose staff and thousands of neighbors have been affected.

Gateway is setting up an emergency flood relief fund to help as many as we can that have been displaced by this flooding. Please consider giving to help those who have potentially lost everything.

Equip and Empower People to a New Beginning

The goal of the Gateway Program is to create a “multi-generational impact in our communities.” We focus on women and young adults who are coming from challenging backgrounds and wanting a fresh start. We usually find candidates who lack immediate support and resources to help them overcome personal, financial, and systemic barriers. Our holistic approach identifies the barriers that the women and young adults currently face and curate an individualized case work plan that connects them with resources, training, and various opportunities.

Gateway Program:

Our Gateway program is broken down into three primary areas of ministry.

Our Family House program offers subsidized housing to our families and aims to empower them with essential life skills.
We also offer vocational training opportunities through our Flying V training program.
Beyond safe, affordable housing and vocational training opportunities, our Social Care arm sponsors education of the children in our program, provides assistance with healthcare services, and aids our families through obtaining documentation and work permits.

Gateway’s holistic approach is designed to transition our families from simply surviving, to sustaining, and eventually thriving.

Member Care:

The Gateway Movement sustains our internal missionary member-care and community-building program - The Nest.

We prioritize taking care of each participant and team member in our organization through community-centric activities that remind us that we are not alone; we have - and need - each other.

Child Sponsorship:

$50 a month will provide a sponsored child with school tuition, uniforms, and supplies. We hope to provide good opportunities for the next generation within our community.

$150 a month will provide a sponsored child with all of their school needs along with all expenses needed for their food, housing, and livelihood support.

Administration:

Our team at Gateway truly is the wind beneath our wings, and to do so, we incur overhead costs to keep our organization and programs in flight.

From legal fees as we navigate work permit and visa paperwork for our program participants to operational expenses and office costs. Giving to the administration fee impacts each of our programs by funding the fuel that keeps them going.
